The Pakistan Medical Fee on Wednesday introduced situations after the fulfilment of which it recognises a postgraduate qualification.
In accordance with an announcement by the PMC on Twitter, a postgraduate qualification “shall imply a qualification acquired after certification of completion of a structured programme underneath direct supervision of a chosen supervisor”.
The PMC additional harassed that the supervisor should embody “all competencies required by a licensed physician to qualify for inclusion within the Particular Register”.
Pakistani postgraduate qualification
The Council shall recognise a Pakistani postgraduate qualification topic to the next situations outlined underneath Part 22 of the PMC Act, 2020:
- The qualification will need to have been granted by the Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP)
- Coaching will need to have been undertaken at a medical establishment recognised by the Council for coaching or grant of a postgraduate programme underneath Part 23(2) of the PMC Act, 2020
International postgraduate qualification
The Council shall recognise a international postgraduate qualification topic to the next situations outlined underneath Part 24 of the PMC Act, 2020:
- The qualification will need to have been granted by a international postgraduate establishment recognised by the regulatory authority within the related nation and recognised by the Council underneath Part 25 of the PMC Act, 2020
