JACKSON, Mich – Jackson’s Center for Family Health recommends that anyone who needs health insurance enroll through the federal market created by the Affordable Care Act.
COVID-19 open enrollment is ongoing at Healthcare.gov ending May 15.
If you’re concerned about the cost of health insurance, the Center for Family Health says there are affordable options.
“Many people can find good deals on HealthCare.gov by contacting us for help in reducing their monthly health insurance costs,” said Molly Kaser, the center’s CEO.
All plans cover essential benefits such as doctor and hospital visits, prescription medications, mental health, and maternity care.
If you are enrolled, you can also receive free preventative care such as immunization and health screenings. Treatment and testing with COVID-19 are also considered essential.
You can contact the Center for Family Health and schedule an appointment for health insurance assistance by calling (517) -748-5500.
